2017: A Beautiful Nightmare

Can you believe there are only 13 days left in 2017?  This year has gone by in super speed for me. I’ve learned so many things, gained some awesome business besties, and accomplished a lot of firsts this year. I also racked up a ton of debt,  totaled my car, lost some friends/loved ones, and thought about giving up. All in all, this year challenged me in a way I’ve never been challenged before. I was humbled and pushed way out of my comfort zone. I opened up myself and decided to chase a dream I’ve been harboring for some time.

If I had to give this year a name  I would label it 2017: A Beautiful Nightmare.

I believe that everything life throws your way is a learning opportunity. Nothing that happens in your life is by chance or accident. Everything literally happens for a reason. I talked in my previous Thanksgiving post about being thankful for life. This year by far was not an easy one and I could whine and complain about how it sucked and blah blah blah but, I don’t care to give my energy to that. I’d rather reflect on everything I accomplished and how I pushed through every difficult situation that was thrown my way.

I believe God makes no mistakes and every setback is actually a setup. Its a set up for something far greater than you can imagine. Remember you have to walk by faith and not by sight. You may not be able to see the entire stairwell but you still need to take that first step. I am already planning and manifesting my vision for 2018 and I know my plan is so much smaller than whatever God has in store.

However, the year went for you know that its 13 days left and you have the power to start the year off however you choose. But just to let you in on a little secret, you don’t have to wait 13 days to hit the refresh button, the time is now. Cheers to a Happy New Year.

Thanks for reading. Stay Selfish.
